DO NOT RENT HERE !! First of all, they charged us $60 a month for âcommunity upkeepâ, when there was (what I suspect to be) throw up on our stairs for the first 4 months we lived there. They closed the pool for upwards of six months because âpeople were disrespecting the propertyâ, I donât care!! Itâs not my responsibility to pay for upkeep, as well as every single renter in the community, for our money to go toward absolutely nothing. Itâs YOUR responsibility to handle the property. Second, they threatened to evict us because of âunauthorized petsâ, when we had payed a $200 fee for each pet, and monthly pet rent. THEY stopped charging us for pet rent at some point, (which we didnât notice because of all the surprise fees they popped on us every month) then figured out their mistake, in which they blamed us for. My dog was literally the âpet of the monthâ, what do you mean you didnât know he was here?? I provided the documentation from the humane society - in which THEY HAD TO SIGN in order for us to have our animals - and all we got in return was âtehe oops, our bad,â with absolutely no remorse or apology - I was legitimately terrified to lose the place in which we live. PLUS they still told our current landlord, when we applied, that we were âdelinquent rentersâ because of the so-called âunauthorized petsâ. BECAUSE OF THEIR INCOMPETENCE. Third, they literally towed my boyfriends boat after he had payed for a parking spot in the back. When he came to them after his BOAT NOT BEING WHERE HE LEFT IT, again they were like, âtehe oops, our badâ, and still had him pay to get it out of impound. Fourth, they didnât give us our deposit back after an inspection where they said our apartment was in order; then took our deposit, plus $800 (we HAD NO REASON TO, BUT STILL negotiated down to $600) to âreplace the carpetâ, I have photos and videos of the carpet in perfect order, it did not need to be replaced. And even if it did, two animals lived there. That $400 in fees should cover some of the damages. I seriously have so many more stories and reasons that this place is genuinely hell on earth, but that would take a literal novel to cover. Iâm so glad to be out of there, in a place where my landlord is competent. The people that work here, and this company, are the definition of absolute scum.
